Styling the wedding is one of the most gratifying jobs I have ever done. It is an enormous fulfilment to help the couple to make their dream wedding come alive. It is a job where I immerse myself completely and lose the notion of time.
I have some formal education in floristics and arts – two years of floristics courses and one year of visual arts. It gives me enough to know the basic techniques, and after that it’s all about imagination and creativity.
For the wedding of my friend I transformed the living room and the garden of a regular house into the wedding venue. The focus was on the table decoration, including place cards, floral garlands, and candles. In the garden I made a floral arch, which immediately became a favourite spot for taking pictures. Other decorations included floral arrangements in the bathroom and near the entrance of the house.
I’m very thankful to my friends for entrusting me this important job!
